The number of social networking users has surpassed e-mail users. Nearly a quarter of all time spent on-line is spent on social networks like Facebook. People access the Internet more from mobile devices than from desktops. All of these trends combined puts pressures on businesses to transform the way they provide and manage their products and services (internally and externally), one strategy is to move to a cloud bases offering. While some companies are well underway changing their way of doing business to this cloud based reality there is always room for more inspiration.
Europe’s largest cloud and social enterprise trade show is called Cloudforce and is taking place in London May 22. 14,000 delegates are expected to attend, learning from peers at companies such as Google, HP and LinkedIn via keynotes, breakout sessions and exhibitions. Activision, Burberry, and O2 will for example demonstrate how companies can leverage employee and customer social networks to transform into social enterprises and delight customers and employees in completely new ways.
Cloudstock, Europe’s first ever social enterprise developer event, will be co-located at Cloudforce London and grant developers to get hands-on, and begin coding the next generation of social enterprise apps.
