05.17.2011–PR Training Centre principal lecturer, Richard Milton, is speaking at the Pindar Annual Conference to be held at Warwick University Conference Centre, on 17th and 18th May. Milton will be speaking to an audience of more than 100 delegates from leading UK organisations on “Embracing Social Media”.
Milton will tell the conference that social media is here to stay and that customers are already speaking to and advising each other – the only question is not whether to join in the conversation but how.
‘In our social media skills workshops,’ states Milton, ‘we advise organisations to put the choice of technology or platform last and to focus first on the issues that marketing managers always have – identifying and segmenting the market, and devising engagement strategies. There is no point in diving headlong into Facebook, Twitter or the Blogosphere simply to keep up with your competitors – because may well not comprehend what they are doing.’
The content of Milton’s speech at the Pindar Annual Conference 2011, is taken from The PR Training Centre’s one-day workshop on Social Media Skills.
The Social Media Skills Workshop will be held at The PR Training Centre, Covent Garden, London, and costs £495 plus Vat (£395 for each subsequent delegate). The next workshop will be held on Monday July 11th. For further details see http://www.theprtrainingcentre.com/social-media-skills-training.html
